Henleigh has done many things lately. She has accomplished many horrible things, and some good. Sofia and I took a trip to Nana's house near the end of January, and of course, we took Henleigh. During one of Henleigh's trips outside playing in the fenced-in backyard, we heard a loud commotion in the backyard by the front door. It was very loud and obnoxious. I told Sofia to go see what was going on, and she yelled, asking Henleigh what she had gotten herself into. Henleigh had somehow gotten her collar stuck around the metal rocking chair outside (which can seat 2-3 people) and had dragged it all the way to the door, and was trying to go up the steps. How she did that, I will never know. I'm just glad she's ok and was not hurt seriously by pulling patio furniture with her neck. How strange. She also peed in her crate while there, so we had to wash her blankets. I swear she does these things on trips just to get a rise out of me.
I also discovered two days ago that Henleigh had crapped on the balcony at our apartment. Who knows how many days that had been sitting there without my knowledge. I'm going to have to keep an alarm on my dog's butt so that when she even so much as farts, there is a loud beep I can hear so that I can check on her.
Henleigh has now developed this fetish with gloves and socks. If she finds them, she wants to chew on them... even if they are on your hands and feet. She does not care where or when, she just wants that sock or glove you are wearing, and she wants it now. I have tried to break her of this, but it's going to take more work. She goes straight for your hands or feet every time she wants something. She has also developed this "barking when I want something, or punching you if you don't respond to my bark" attitude.
And last, but definitely not least, Henleigh has now learned to coo. Yes, I said it, coo. Instead of just whining and crying when she goes in her crate and doesn't want to be there, she will coo. I cannot explain it, but at the least I can say it is the most saddening, wretched noise you can imagine. It somewhat sounds like a vibrato crying dog. I just don't even know what to say about it, except she knows what she is doing. She will now also punch you if she wants on the couch and you're in her spot. I'm working on her manners, she is just VERY stubborn.
