This morning Henleigh was Hyde. I discovered she defecated in Nikki's room, and so I let her outside to go to the bathroom. After cleaning that up, I went to the back door to let her in. My first view was of potting soil flying in the air; my next was of her head bobbing up and down trying with all her might to dig to China inside the plant pot. She jerked her head up when I yelled, "NO HENLEIGH!" Then she made a mad dash to the corner of the yard, under a tree, so I could not get her. I ran inside to find a toy to lure her into the house, and as fast as lighting she was in the pot again, digging like an obsessive-compulsive maniac. When she finally took the toy I chose for bait I discovered she was also wet, and must have taken a quick dip in the pool before her plant annihilation.
Once she was in the house I dried her off and put her in doggie jail.
Doggie Jail:
A term derived from Nikkibug and Caleighbabe regarding the time dogs spend in a crate or behind a gate for being bad. Example: I'm sending you to doggie jail for jumping in the pool. or: You cannot be in the house wet or muddy, so you must get rinsed off then go to doggie jail. or: I do not want to see you right now, you bad dog, go to doggie jail.In doggie jail, Henleigh chewed up a dryer sheet, knocked down all the clothes hanging up to dry, and chewed on hangers. She was in doggie jail approximately five minutes.
I then took her out of doggie jail, because doggie jail only provided more ways for her to cause trouble. When talking to Aunt Sandy and Shawn, Henleigh sprinted around the house like a mad woman for about ten minutes. When Nikki arrived home she tried to jump into the bag of fried rice Nikki was holding, and she chewed up a Swiffer Sweeper as well. Then I saw her coming out of Nikki's room. I walked in to finish cleaning up her mess from earlier, when I discovered the new mess she left was not solid, or purely liquid. It was diarrhea. Needless to say I am still cleaning that up, I owe Nikki dry cleaning for her silk pillowcase, and the pillow I washed for her is a feather pillow, so I have to squeeze it until every drop of water is out before I can put it in the dryer. Oh Jekyll, where did you go?
