Big Spring Trip

So, me and my friend Aaron went to Big Spring to get some 6 foot tables for my garage sale on Saturday. I told mom I would pick up Paris on the way home and keep her for a few days. Well, Paris wasn't the problem. Henleigh went with us. When we left Lubbock we discovered that she liked to chew on seat belts. Aaron was on dog watch the whole way to Big Spring, preventing Henleigh from trying to chew on the seat belt, other objects on the car, my sun visor, basically everything but her toys. She seemed to calm down once we got to Big Spring.

At mom's house, Aaron watched Henleigh while I got the utility room ready for her to stay in while we ate lunch in town. After literally one minute of being in the laundry room, she spilled her whole bowl of water and peed on the floor. So I had to clean that up. While I was cleaning, she ran into the living room, past Aaron, and pooped. Aaron said he couldn't stop her because she was a fast pooper. Then I had to clean that up before we could go eat. We were starving by this time. After picking up the rug so Henleigh wouldn't chew on it, putting away cleaning supplies and tools so they would not get destroyed, and filling a bowl of new water, I finally got Henleigh situated in the utility room.

Aaron and I made it to the restaurant 30 minutes before closing time, and were gone approximately 30 minutes. When we got back to my mom's, I discovered she escaped from the utility room somehow and chewed up a roll of paper towels. While I cleaned up that mess, she did a dead sprint all the way around the house about 6 times, not stopping to help. I also had to clean up her runny poop from the utility room that she had hidden strategically under her bed.

I decided Henleigh needed some exercise before we left so she might sleep on the way home, instead of trying to eat my car. After her walk, thank God, she slept on the way home. I was so happy I might have cried from joy.

Eventful Day

Henleigh likes to ride in the car, so I frequently take her with me to run errands and go get food. She really enjoys the getting food part. Especially today. I went in to Which Wich? to get a sandwich, and I took it outside to eat in the car with her. Well, that's where the trouble started. She licked the cup of fruit punch when I put it in the cup holder. I kept reminding her that it wasn't hers. Then, she wanted some of my sandwich, so she started trying to chomp at it while it was in my mouth. Then she proceeded to lick the crumbs off my face. Between intervals of face licking I got to finish my meal. It was a miracle I didn't have paw-flavored fruit punch. I realized people had been looking at me through the windows.

Then we went to FedEx. I came back to the car after mailing something off, and she had spilled the ice from the cup into the cup holder. I made her drink it out, except I don't think that was much punishment. She then chewed up the plastic cup from Which Wich? Finally, I took her to PetSmart to get groomed.

While I waited for her to get clean, I cleaned the poop out of the yard.. Then I discovered the trash can outside was filled with not only poop, but rain. The smell was a new kind of rancid. I received a call to go get her. When I picked her up, she peed from excitement, which she has never done.

I brought her home, fed her, and then played ball outside with her for about 30 minutes. She managed to rip a whole in one of my favorite shirts while chasing me.
